STEPHAN BALKENHOL in Sneek/Niederlande

STEPHAN BALKENHOL has realized the work "Fortunas Fountain" for the Frisian town of Sneek in the Netherlands. It is one of eleven well works designed by renowned international artists and installed in the historic centers of the cities of the Dutch province of Friesland. Background: Leeuwarden-Friesland is European Capital of Culture this year and the project 11Fountains is intended to symbolically connect the cities of this province. This gives Friesland a new art route, which is already considered a new cultural heritage. The work "Fortunas Fountain", in which many will recognize the "Man with cornucopia" of Balkenhol - known as a bronze edition, is now standing in the canal in front of the historic water gate in Bolsward / Sneek and should remain there after the cultural year.
